For any kind of financial transaction you’ll be required to have a routing number and for international transactions, a SWIFT code. This is like the bank’s ID.

It’s easy to find the routing number on a check. Its the first 9 digit number on the bottom of the check (image below).
Sort Code On Debit Card
Sort codes can be typically be found on a bank’s debit card, located directly below the account holders name, to the left of the account number.
How to Wire Funds
The best way Barclays recommends you to transfer funds is to do it online or go to the nearest branch. both ways you’ll be required to have the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Address
- Name of receiving financial institution
- Address of receiving financial institution
- Account number
- Routing number
- Other details as required by the receiving/sending financial institution
For international transactions you’ll be required to also have the SWIFT code.
